The 18- 35 year-old demographic who cover most of YouTube's audience have grown up with video games making it a relevant genre, whether they want to see a review of a game or hear funny commentary making it a very interactive category as seen in Fig 6. Also games are constantly coming out so "YouTubers" will never run out of content and ideas.

Animation is such a popular style for a gaming video because it allows the "YouTuber" to be completely free with what the content looks like and create even more humour. This means "YouTubers" can interpret the commentary in a fun way and create a whole different story.  People enjoy watching animations from characters of games that they love in original videos because it's an interesting take on a figure they are invested in.
