Top 10 Most Subscribed to Channels in 2015

From these results from (Youtube.com,2015a), it shows animation and comedy are linked when it comes to popularity and show animation is a successful medium for comedy.
A lot of these channels post videos weekly, which is how they created such a big fan base, because they are consistent with their uploading and keeping their fans happy.
Three of the channels are based around video games, showing gaming videos are popular outside of YouTube's gaming category.
However even though this information is from YouTube itself, this isn't an accurate representation of everyone on YouTube. When people select a category for their videos, it is more likely people will select entertainment rather than animation because as (Marshall, 2015) states, "based on the data analyzed, 'Entertainment' gets the most average views with 9,816" which means it's the biggest category on YouTube. Also the Best of Youtube page
(Youtube.com,2015b), shows that the music and gaming category are the two most subscribed to channels on YouTube and animation isn't even shown on the page.
These YouTube channels have proven they are successful in winning a large fan base, but don't have the most viewed animated videos on YouTube showing
there isn't a dominating official animator of YouTube.
