The results from the questionnaires show cartoon style animations are still popular probably because they link back to the cartoons that were watched on TV before YouTube.
Ratings are nearly as important as the story, meaning people trust what other people think and follow what everyone else is watching.
It's more likely for someone to carry on watching a suggested video channel meaning YouTube's new algorithm should be paid attention as it's less likely that your video will be suggested if it's stand alone which according to this research there is no preference over.
Video game animations seem to be very popular if they are on a famous gaming "YouTuber" channel, meaning people trust them to upload good content.
Duration is a big indicator as to whether watch the video or not and there's a clear preference for under 5 minutes, because of the lack of concentration people have when on the internet.
