Five Nights at Freddy's 2 ANIMATED

Lixian TV creates animated videos based on Markiplier videos. He uses the audio from his videos and creates his own cartoon style videos which feature on Markiplier's channel. Markiplier is a very popular gaming Youtuber who is known for his voice, which gives a good reason to animate his videos because of the interesting audio. As he's part of the gaming category and is popular with the questionnaires I gave out, I asked Lixian TV about why he created an animation for Markiplier and why he think it became so popular.

I mean, it was on Mark's channel so I was expecting it to have a lot of views, but I didn't expect things to catapult like that.

Did you think it was going to be as popular as it is?

Why did you chose 2D cartoon animation and do you think choosing this style helped it gain popularity?

I chose it because it was the only type of animation that I knew how to work with. I wish I could do 3D but, 2D has a special kind of magic to it. It's very flexible, which can make things a bit complicated sometimes, but it's worth it.

Markiplier, not only is an amazing person, he is an hilarious person. The fun factor on his videos are just insane and if you just listen to it, it's still funny. That's what inspired me, he's funny and I love his video, so I grabbed those audios and animated them. Also his voice fits perfectly for an animation. I just animated someone who I respect and whose content I like to watch.

Has the popularity of the video gained you more subscribers and has it gained you any new opportunities like working on big projects with other people?

Indeed, a lot of subscribers and a lot of views, it has been incredible. Some people want to work with me, but it's mostly small gamer channels interested.

Where do you work- in your house or in a studio?

I work in my house.

Do you work as a professional animator or do you do it just for fun?

I work as a "professional animator" on youtube only. Youtube is the only thing I do. The animations and the gaming channel. But it's also for fun.

Why do you chose to upload your videos to Youtube and do you think by uploading to Youtube your videos become more successful than using another video uploading website like Vimeo or Facebook?

To be quite honest, I love the youtube platform ( even thought the latest algorithm isn't very friendly of the animators ).So I just stick with it. Never really tried Vimeo ( or looked into it ) and I use facebook as just a fan page.

Name a few things that you think an animation should include to make it popular on YouTube? (eg. music, characters, story)

It can vary a lot really. If you animate a popular youtuber it can become really popular just for having that youtuber's name on it. Parodies of movies and games work wonders too. Those are the most popular. Original content is hard to stand out unless you've already made a name for yourself. Not impossible though.

Why do you think Markiplier animated videos are so popular?

Well, Markiplier IS popular, people love his videos, so watching them in an animated format is an instant win I guess. Plus people really REALLY like Five Night's at Freddy's too.
